Rio Bend is a 55+, gated 120 acre RV Golf Resort situated near El Centro in south eastern California. It is located about 110 miles east of San Diego, 60 miles from Yuma, Arizona, and 8 miles north of the Mexican border. The resort is nestled in a peaceful majestic setting alongside farmer’s fields, yet only an 8 min. freeway jaunt to El Centro. Shopping galore – everything you could want and need including, Super sized Costco, Walmart, Target & major department stores & malls.
The daily activities are endless: 4 pickleball courts (soon to be 6), world class 9 hole golf course with reasonable rates, aqua fit/volleyball, cards, crafts, too many to mention and are offered free except for golf (punch card 12 rounds $295.) Even catch & release fishing in the two lakes.
The poolside restaurant and bar is so much fun, gathering with friendly faces and listening to daily and weekly entertainment along with super meal & drink specials ($10 bottle of wine, the Fish Fry on Fridays is famous). Full bands on Saturday nights - lots of dancing.
Pet friendly, doggie park (with agility station), a great gym, huge pool/hot tub and even their own serene Cactus Garden where you can sit and watch the sun set.
What we like most is everyone is so friendly and the Mexican influence makes it an interesting community with a blend of cultural mixes. There is everything you need in the city of El Centro only 8 min. away, yet we are located in a peaceful, rural setting.
